Every year, E.D.S. students are given the opportunity to pick their all-time "favorite" teacher.
In April, each chosen teacher is honored at our "Favorite Teacher" party where they are presented with a short essay written by the student explaining why they were chosen. To read an article published in the

E.D.S. supports two major charities:
The Make-A-Wish Foundation - when a student masters a skill, they place a certificate in the "wishing well". Once a year, E.D.S. addes up the certificates and makes a cash donation in that amount, giving each student the opportunity to make a difference in the life of another child.

The American Cancer Society - E.D.S. collects donations from students, parents and teachers. Everyone is invited to participate in the ACS's main fundraising event, "Relay for Life".
